Jen & Tony Arrive to Meet Baby Greta

Friday, March 4th - Jen and Tony flew in from Portland to help welcome new baby Greta.
They were so excited to meet their new little niece!

Gordy is a big fan of Uncle Tony - we all are!
Grayson was so happy to see Auntie Nenny & Uncle Tony - plus they brought presents, as usual!

Auntie Lassa loves Greta too.

Saturday evening, Tony cooked up a scrumptious lasagna with a wonderful green salad.
Proud Papa & Grammy (I don't have many photos of Grammy with Greta, as she had a little cold during their visit, and only held her when wearing a hospital mask).

Grammy bought the boys their own mini blueberry pies.

Uncle Tony is a natural with children.

So much love for baby Greta!

Going Home....

Daddy loved holding Greta while Mommy got ready to go home from the hospital.

Such a peaceful baby.

Until we woke her up to put on her very first outfit.

This cute little outfit (from Maggie) is newborn size, and it was still too big for our little princess.

Mommy enjoyed some quiet moments holding Greta while we waited for the nurses to gather all our paperwork.

Greta slept in her car seat all the way home.

We were warmly greeted at home with these sweet signs made by Grammy, Gordon, & Grayson.
Admiring our new baby....

She is so precious.

The boys absolutely adore their baby sister, and are so gentle and sweet with her.

My cup runneth over....

Welcoming Greta (Hospital Visitors)

Before Grammy & Papa arrived with Gordon and Grayson, Auntie Melissa was our very first visitor.

Soon after, Grammy, Papa, and Grayson arrived. Grayson was immediately smitten.

Grammy could hardly wait to hold her new baby granddaughter.

Papa and his first granddaughter - a happy day!

Gordon's introduction to Greta was slightly later, as he had an orientation for his upcoming ski lessons to attend with Daddy (Story & photos on his ski lessons coming soon). Grayson enjoyed this special time with his new baby sister.

It wasn't long and Daddy came back with an excited little Gordon!
He's shown here with the glider plane he got from Greta (with Daddy's help) and a new puppy toy from Auntie Lassa. Grayson also got a glider, and a fawn stuffed animal from Lassa.

Daddy brought a special treat to share with Mommy.

The kids' pediatrician made a few visits to meet and check on Greta.

Pastor Joy visited too, with gifts, hugs, and continued prayers for our new baby.

Uncle Joey was also very excited to meet his new niece.

The happy news was spreading! Grandpa Dave & Grandma Myra were elated to hear the news via cell phone while on vacation in Hawaii. They were disappointed that they wouldn't be able to meet her right away, but I'm sure being in Hawaii brought them some comfort. ☺ We were excited to learn that Auntie Jen and Uncle Tony had solidified plans to visit us the following weekend to meet Greta as well.

Everyone is so happy to meet this sweet baby!

The Five Gs

After getting settled into our recovery room, it was time to introduce baby Greta to the rest of her family.
I was so happy to see the boys!

Baby's First Wash

Oh, what is going on here? I was cozy and warm in my Mommy's arms....

Now what?!

Oh. This isn't so bad. This water is warm and soothing.

Yea, I like this....

Oh, you put me down. Where's my Mommy?

Getting sleepy. This is so toasty warm under these heat lamps.

The nurses are pretty nice here. One of them just put a dainty ribbon in my hair, and Mommy's standing nearby with her camera (of course). I can hear her talking to me....

My very first hair accessory. I feel pretty, and so squeaky clean!

Now Mommy can take me back to our room and hold me some more....
