Santa really came through for Gordy, bringing him the prized "hawn-a-mower" that he's been wanting for months. It was an extra special Christmas for all of us, having almost the entire Schueler side here to celebrate, spending a lovely week up in the mountains together in a snowy, winter wonderland! Christmas was especially fun for Gordy, as he is now old enough to get really excited about all the festivities. He enjoyed making Christmas cookies (see photo), visiting Santa, singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus, and looking forward to seeing Papa, Grammy, and his aunties and uncles.Grayson is getting SO BIG, and is such a busy boy! Unlike Gordon was at 8 months, Grayson is very anxious to move around, and has been crawling (in his own unique style) for about two months now. His latest endeavor is to stand and ultimately walk, pulling himself up to a standing position, however and wherever he can manage to do so. That development has added a bit of extra anxiety to my life, as I don't want him to fall and hurt himself; he's taken a few tumbles, but appeared to be more frustrated by the setback than physically hurt.
With so many blessings in the past twelve months, we anticipate more joy and laughter ahead in 2008, watching Gordy and Grayson grow and learn so many new things...! Happy New Year! :)
