Farewell Lunch with Grammy & Papa

As usual, the aunties and uncles arrived bestowing gifts upon Gordon & Grayson. Here are some new t-shirts, courtesy of Auntie Nenny and Uncle Tony.

I truly would never have to shop for them - Grammy, Papa, Nenny, Tony, and Lassa keep our boys dressed so adorably well!

We enjoyed one last lunch with Grammy & Papa before they flew back to MN. Melissa took her lunch break from work and joined us.

To cheer ourselves up after saying good-bye, the boys and I stopped and perused an antique store near our home that I've always wanted to check into. Then we spent a good hour at the library, picking out new books and playing with puzzles and computers.

Thank you so much for everything, Grammy & Papa! We'll miss you...until we see you again this summer! ☺

Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny brought these baskets and hid them on Saturday night.

Beyond their initial excitement about these fun sand pails, shovels, chocolate bunnies, and bubbles - the boys were somewhat concerned about how the Easter Bunny managed to break into our house during the night. ☺

Grayson models his new Easter suit from Auntie Nenny & Uncle Tony - ready to head to Church for breakfast, Sunday School, and Easter Sunday Service.

After a delicious breakfast and wonderful Resurrection Sunday service, the boys hunted high and low for all of their Easter eggs.

After the eggs were found, they came inside the house to discover a mysterious bunny poop trail.... (sniff, sniff - it kind of smells like black jelly beans?)

That Easter Bunny is pretty elusive and full of surprises!

It was a fun-filled, blessed Easter Sunday!
Jen & Tony flew back to Portland that afternoon, and we continued to celebrate with family by having an incredible ham dinner at Dave and Myra's house that evening.

Easter Eggs!

The boys enjoyed having many of their favorite people standing by to help with the annual Easter Egg Decorating tradition! Jen and Tony flew in from Portland for the weekend, Mom, Dad, and Dave were here from Minnesota for the whole week, and Melissa has only a few miles to drive over, now that she lives in Boise too. (Joey wasn't able to be here for this event, but joined us later in the weekend).

I think it's safe to say that Gordon and Grayson make all of these holiday traditions extra special and enjoyable.

Kicking Off Grayson's Birthday Celebration Early!

Catching up on the posts I should have done three weeks ago -- I'll start with a special one about Grayson. He will be turning three years old on May 4th, and since Grammy, Papa, and Uncle Dave were able to make their spring trip out for Easter this year, we decided to celebrate Grayson's birthday a month early.

It's a wonderful addition to our backyard! The boys, especially Grayson, are out there digging almost every day. Thank you, Grammy & Papa!
