After securing our tepee reservation and looking around some at Smiley Creek Lodge, we jumped in the Jeep and drove toward Stanley, turning off at Redfish Lake.
The lawn between the front porch of Redfish Lake Lodge and the lake itself was spattered with cozy people...
Even some pets were taking in the show.
We had a great time, listening to the bluesy, bluegrass music and people-watching in the fresh, mountain air.

After awhile, we decided to walk toward the lake and meander around on some of the nearby trails that we've visited before.
Clouds were rolling in some, but we still got a brilliant sunset.
Not the finest of pictures, but here's the glow of our tepee after dark.

We played a few games of Mancala, then snuggled in for our first night of sleeping in a real tepee. Gary's comment just before dozing off in our electrically-heated, queen-size bed, "Ahhh - Just like the Indians!" ☺

What gorgeous, gorgeous pictures, Gretchen! LOVE the teepee, LOVE the scenery and of course LOVE that darling girl in the hat! You know, we grew up in God's country and I think we found more pieces in Colorado and Idaho! Beautiful!
