Wrapping Up Our Weekend with Rest & Relaxation

After our day hike, both Gary and I were wiped out and hungry for some dinner. We stopped at Sawtooth Luce's again and ordered a pizza to go. Then we drove north of Stanley to Torrey's Cabins, where we'd made reservations for Saturday night. We settled in, gobbled up our tasty pizza, and enjoyed a nice, quiet evening - resting up and recuperating from our day. It just so happened that the SNL episode we saw live in New York City last October aired again on this particular night, so it was fun to reflect on the previous, very different vacation the two of us took together last fall.

Sunset outside of our cabin - so pretty!

Gary had two rather large blisters from our hike. Since we'd left the Spider-Man band-aids with the boys, we had to improvise, using the sticker from Gary's new t-shirt we bought at Redfish Lake Lodge and some toilet tissue to cover Gary's wounds.

We woke to another beautiful day on Sunday.

These photos were taken during our drive back into Stanley.

In Stanley, we picked up a few souvenirs, then enjoyed a delicious brunch at the Deli.

Just can't get enough of these Sawtooth Mountains!

Then it was time to head back to the family cabins and reunite with the boys and everyone else for our 4th of July celebrations. We both felt refreshed and rejuvenated after our fun-filled weekend away together. Special thanks to Grammy, Papa, Auntie Lassa, and Uncles Joey and David for taking such wonderful care of Gordon and Grayson while we were away. It was an incredible retreat for us!
