Happy Birthday, Gary!

Barely squeaking in to post this before his birthday is over - but wanted to wish my handsome husband a wonderful year! Today was a fun-filled, relaxing day - celebrating Gary's 38th birthday in the mountains. Dad and Mom treated our family to a delicious lunch at Trudy's in Idaho City, topped off by sharing two pieces of fabulous pie - chocolate cream and coconut cream. Dad and Gary got some cabin chores done in the afternoon and evening, and we were all still too full to eat the Mexican dinner I had planned to prepare, so we enjoyed some lighter fare to wrap up the day: green salads, pita bread with hummus, and tortilla chips with mango salsa. Mom and Dad offered to put the boys to bed so Gary and I enjoyed an evening walk down the Forest Service Road. We heard an owl, saw and heard a red-tailed hawk, and enjoyed a beautiful night sky, complete with nearly full moon at dusk. It was a beautiful day in the mountains!

Happy Birthday, Gary! We love you so very much!
