Special Scientific Souvenirs

Gary was sent on assignment in Jackson Hole, Wyoming the first weekend in June.
He returned home with some fascinating souvenirs for the boys.
He picked up a fossil collection and four geodes at a rock shop.

We each got to crack open our own geodes....

Ooooh, WOW!

Magical beauty, inside what appeared to be an ordinary rock.

Grayson's geode, before --

Cracking open his mystery rock --

*drum roll*

Beautiful!

Daddy's turn....
Lovely.

And here is my geode.

The fossils too, are amazing - though I haven't taken any photos of them yet. They include a prehistoric shark tooth, petrified wood pieces, ancient sea shells, and even a dinosaur bone fragment. The boys cherish these souvenirs. ☺
What thoughtful and much-appreciated gifts, Gary!
