Weekend Hot Springs Quest - Part 2

Even a very scenic drive can get long, for an almost 5-year old...

and a sleepy 3-year old.

Finally reaching our destination, Gary set out to check the access to Anderson Creek hot spring. It's one of many springs we have earmarked in a book full of hot springs in Idaho - an awesome gift we received for our wedding. On his return, Gary had this injured Swallowtail butterfly to show Gordon. (It appeared to have been hit by a car).

The scientist that he is, Gordon relished this hands-on experience with nature.

We awakened Grayson from his little car seat nap, and started the 300-yard hike toward the soaking pool.

It was a lovely path, winding up the mountain side, over little streams, surrounded by daisies, ferns, and other lush, green plants.

Here we are - Anderson Creek Hot Springs.

We were pleased to have the place to ourselves.

The water was nice and warm.

Nature's bath tub.

This was the view, looking up from the pool.

Taking after Daddy & Mommy, Gordon and Grayson love the outdoors!

There are sure to be more posts with hot spring adventures, hopefully soon.

What a wonderful family day trip, and another amazing weekend in the mountains!
My next post will share our Saturday, down by the creek. ☺
